Mindfulness based living course

(8 x 2 hour sessions + full day)

Mindfulness Based Living is built on the shoulders of giants like Jon Kabat-Zin (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction), Dr Mark Williams and Danny Penman (Finding Peace in a Frantic World). Building on the ancient Buddhist meditation practices, mindfulness has found its way into the secular world, showing up in a range of places from medical practice to managing stress or chronic pain to everyday living. This is a non-religious, secular course.
Mindfulness is an innate capacity of the mind to be aware of the present moment in a non-judgemental way. It promotes a way of being that helps us to take better care of ourselves and lead healthier lives. It also enables us to access inner resources for coping effectively with stress, difficulty and illness.

This course will introduce you to the basic principles of mindfulness and support you in developing the core skill of mindfulness: a way of paying attention, on purpose, non-judgementally to what goes on in the present moment in your body, mind and the world around you.
