Restore the Balance Mindfulness Programme

This seven-session programme is a fantastic introduction to anyone wishing to explore how mindfulness can help to slow things down, invest in your own wellbeing and develop mindful habits that better serve you. Through considering concepts such as compassion (for self and others), acceptance, and letting go, we come to a deeper understanding of ourselves, and what is really important to us.

Raymy Boyle, our mindfulness teacher introduces a particular mindfulness concept through each letter of the word BALANCE. Each session is also supported by a wealth of additional material, exercises and links to deepen the learning and, if you choose to, you can engage with Raymy (and other course participants) through the online comments box.

Raymy has worked with a variety of individuals and groups, including staff from Stirling University, Edinburgh University students and a group of Kinship Carers (for whom he continues to offer regular mindfulness drop-in sessions).

  The Balance sessions were a really well thought through series of inspiring, supportive and
much needed tools for my self help kit. The sessions reminded me that I really needed to
turn up for MYSELF … because it’s so easy to just keep going and giving out and forgetting that we need to nourish ourselves to be present.

 The opportunity to feedback experiences, ideas, thoughts within the group was a really
helpful way of keeping us connected to each other and the process over the week in
between each session.  Balance was a practical introduction to Mindfulness and a chance to
share thoughts, feelings, difficulties, lighter moments, and our stories.

  I really appreciated the generosity and integrity from which this course was delivered. It
reminds us to breathe, and that stepping off the hamster wheel for even a moment can
replenish, inspire, calm.

  Thank you for developing a programme which has self-care, depth and is also a lot of fun

on the wild side to keep the Balance in my life.
