Acorn Principle Plus (APP) is an ILM Accredited Training Centre and an organisational member of the Association for Coaching (AC) - the leading, global professional coaching organisation with a local presence in Scotland.  By combining the underpinning values and good practice guidelines promoted by the AC  -  and the theoretical assessment criteria of the ILM coaching qualifications - we are able to deliver comprehensive training programmes that build skills, knowledge and understanding that can be applied in practise.

  

APP is committed to the promotion and application of the standards and ethics of the Association for Coaching in all that we do and our training methodology incorporates the AC Competency Framework.

  

It is our belief that every individual has their own unique learning style and preferences and we therefore support the development of personalised training packages to suit the specific needs and requirements of our learners.  We include a range of coaching tools, models and techniques to enable each coach-in-training to build their own tool kit from which to create their own personalised approach to coaching.  Course content will be specifically suited to the needs of the course - whether its a public training programme for professional coaches or a workplace training programme for managers and/or practitioners.

 

Our commitment to your development doesn't stop with coach training; trainees are invited to join the Acorn Community to expand on connections with existing peers and to offer the opportunity to grow professional networks and address their ongoing professional development needs through an on-line forum, Coaching Circle, cpd and coach supervision onpportunities. 

From the outset, APP provide 1:1 mentoring to ensure every trainee achieves their learning targets.  Moving beyond the foundation qualifications, APP now offer specialised support to qualified coaches aiming to achieve independent accreditation from the Association for Coaching see coach development packages.
