CCP/ILM Combined Level 5 Management Coaching & Mentoring Programme
Institute of Leadership & Management Awards: Increasing numbers of organisations and individuals recognise the value of coaching and mentoring in the development of performance – helping people overcome the barriers that prevent them from working to their full potential. ILM is the only awarding body to provide qualifications aimed at developing the coaching/mentoring ability of managers and training professionals, with the opportunity to progress to a professional qualification in coaching and mentoring if desired. APP provide a powerful training programme that combines the ILM provision with the dynamic and life changing programme – APP Certificate in Coaching Practice. A learning experience with real people; real situations and carried out in real time. Intended Audience: An ILM accredited programme in coaching and mentoring for:
• Those who want to develop their coaching skills and gain some formal coaching/mentoring experience. • Those who want to reflect on their coaching and mentoring practice and validate their experience by gaining a formal qualification.
Particularly beneficial for individuals looking for ongoing support and mentoring to help get their coaching and mentoring practice well established. The combined course is particularly suitable for independent coaches who want to develop a workplace performance and/or executive coaching practice.
Learning Outcomes: By the end of the programme candidates will:
• Have gained a better understanding of the differences and similarities between coaching and mentoring; • Practised coaching and mentoring skills, techniques and approaches in a supportive environment; • Have been challenged and supported to improve personal/professional performance; • Be confident in the application of coaching models and tools;
Assessment: Participation on this programme, plus management coaching and mentoring practice (of at least 12 hours) linked to a reflective diary and completion of a work based coaching assignment make up the requirements for the ILM Certificate. The following table highlights how the CCP/ILM combined training programme can be delivered over the same space of time (14 weeks), integrating the components of both the Association for Coaching and Institute of Leadership & Management programmes to offer candidates a more comprehensive knowledge base and the opportunity to achieve both qualifications for very little additional cost.
